first off sorry this is so late, i moved the weekend after this storm and have been real busy since then!! i'm sure some of you already know about this storm, i think they even talked about it on cnn, etc. i live here in omaha and experienced it first hand. however i lived(before i moved) on the southern end of town that wasn't as hard hit as central and northern omaha. it was still an amazing storm to experience. at my location it was still 60+ winds and intense rain and pea sized hail. most locations in town received 1" of rain in 15 minutes so there was flooding problems. the hail was only nickel to quarter sized at its largest, but with the strength of the wind, windows were busted out and siding was ripped off. i wish i would have taken some pictures of this house that was totally shreaded! i have some amazing video of the shelf cloud and storm rolling in that i will try to upload as well. in watching the news and hearing other reports from some
 storm spotters in the field and most all said this was the worst non tornadic storm they had ever seen or been in! in elkhorn on the western side of omaha a spotter there measured an average of 80 mph winds for 3 minutes straight!! 126,000 people lost power and it took a full week to get most people back up. the nws office did an amazing job of warning people. the severe tstorm warning came out something like 45 minutes before the storm even hit. they blew the sirens 2x bc of the destructive winds. the first time was 20-30 minutes before the storm hit, and then the 2nd time was right before it hit. we were actually very lucky on the timing despite it hitting at rush hour. that night there was the annual outdoor concert and fireworks show in memorial park that regularly draws 50,000 people. luckily there was nowhere near that many people outside as it hadnt started yet. sadly 2 people died though when a tree fell on their car across the river in council
 bluffs, ia. it was an amazing storm to experience! the severe weather season here in eastern nebraska was so slow to start and now in june alone we had the 2 tornadoes hit southern omaha, the boy scout tornado tradgedy this killed 4 kids, and then this intense bow echo to roll straight through central omaha.
